E-Gov Data Model

The E-Gov Data Model will provide an understanding of the information captured as part of a CRM Programme and its interpretation. In the context of integration, this is supported by business applications supporting the business services and data exchange between these services. The purpose of the model is to assist with: establishing a foundation for data transfers between business services; data architecture for transportation layer; foundation for definition of transformation rules for data exchanges between various services; introduce and enforce standards; foundation for use of open systems standards such as XML; ability to modularise components and its reusability. The product provides a generic model of business data exchanges between business services within local authorities. It will consist of: logical key business service data model entities; transportation data exchange; logical data model; entities; connectivity (depending on time constraints); transformation (depending on time constraints).
